Can you think of an eatery you frequent, and on each occasion the experience is more pleasant than the time before? Mahogany House at The Island House, in southwest New Providence, has been one such restaurant for me.
The menu is seasonal to reflect local ingredients while showcasing fresh native seafood. Fit for a sophisticated evening of foie gras or casual lunch of your favourite wood-burning pizza, Mahogany creates a satisfying dining option.
I often think about this delicately prepared grouper, bathed in lemon butter, presented atop a mound of creamy polenta served with charred leeks.
The service on this evening was attentive and patient with the staff fully prepared to recommend suitable wine pairings.
The Good:
- Beautifully cooked and well seasoned meal
- Superb service for a large party
The Bad:
- The empty plate after I devoured the dish.
The Ugly:
- None
